ABOUT SB SATHEESAN

He wasn't taught design, he was born with it!
Unlike most of the celebrated Designers, SB took up the art in a combination of chance and passion. He came to the notice of the illustrious Adoor Gopalakrishnan with a drama organized by a bunch of friends, for which he designed the costumes. Adoor took him under his wings and offered the first big break with Kadhapurushan in 1995. With sheer talent, commitment to do the hard work and passion for adequate research, SB went on to win 4 state awards and one national award for Best Costume Design. The mesmerising costume collection in Guru, Ananthabhadram, Daya, Albhuthadweep, Celluloid and the popular numbers in Ustad, Summer In Bethlehem, Devadoothan, Rajamanikyam and Classmates made him a household name.
